Where It All Began
Minnesofa was founded in 2022 by Max Bjorklund and Luke Schultz. What started out as a simple idea, refurbishing and cleaning used couches to earn some extra cash quickly turned into something bigger.
In just three months of scrubbing, selling, and delivering sofas across town, Max and Luke realized they weren’t just flipping furniture. They were building a business. From those early garage days, the dream of opening a storefront took shape.
Burnsville Location
Minnesofa operated out of a warehouse in Burnsville from April 2023 to May 2024
After the “garage hustle” days, Minnesofa leveled up to a warehouse in Burnsville. It wasn’t your typical furniture showroom but is was a lot better than working out of a garage.
It’s where they learned how to run a real furniture business: unloading trucks, staging couches, and helping customers find pieces they loved. Burnsville was their stepping stone, and it set them up for everything that came next.
Plymouth Location
Minnesofa moved to Plymouth in April of 2024 and currently operates out of this location
With over double the space, Minnesofa could finally offer way more of what people were actually looking for. The growing customer base came with the expansion of the Minnesofa Team and a second location.
Moorhead Location
Minnesofa’s second location was launched in Moorhead MN, June of 2025
